The Controller is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and complete production of financial statements while maintaining strong internal controls over the financial close and reporting process. This role partners closely with the Director of Finance and Director of FP&A to enhance the maturity of the finance function and support a growing multi‑site manufacturing environment. The Controller will lead month‑end close activities, harmonize processes across locations, and ensure consistent adherence to internal controls and US GAAP standards.

Roles & Responsibilities :Controlling & US GAAP Reporting
- Lead and maintain a five‑business‑day consolidated financial close.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP‑compliant consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) within seven business days.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and an optimized close cycle.
- Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, roll‑forwards, and documented variance analysis.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial records in accordance with US GAAP.
- Research and document technical accounting positions under US GAAP.
- Serve as the technical accounting expert and collaborate with external advisors as needed.
- Prepare annual financial statements, including footnotes and tie‑out packages for audit support.
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Partner with valuation experts to support purchase price allocation for acquisitions.
- Prepare opening balance sheet workbooks and related journal entries for newly acquired entities.
- Assess acquired companies’ accounting systems, processes, and controls to identify integration needs.
- Execute system consolidation, process harmonization, and close integration while maintaining business continuity.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with legal, tax, HR, and IT to ensure proper entity setup and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance speed, efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of the financial close and reporting process.
- Participate in ERP‑related projects and standardize processes across sites.
- Identify workflow improvements and provide recommendations to Finance leadership.
- Leverage Quick Books Online and other ERP systems to ensure high‑quality, real‑time reporting.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team.
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller role.
- Recent experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Hands‑on experience with M&A integration and acquisition accounting.
- Proficiency with mid‑market ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience in a multi‑site or multi‑entity organization.
- Experience working with foreign currency invoices.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Prior experience in a publicly listed company with a strong control environment.
