Job Title: Universal Banker

Salary: $24-$27/hr

Overview

North American Banking Company has been serving Twin Cities communities since 1998. We are looking for a customer-oriented individual to help us build strong personal and business relationships as a Universal Banker at our Maple Grove branch. The role involves promoting and selling appropriate bank products, handling deposit and loan transactions, and delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

Promote and sell consumer and business deposit products by interviewing customers to determine their needs, completing required paperwork, and ensuring a courteous, timely service.

Actively participate in bank sales promotions and activities, contributing to the achievement of bank‑established goals.

Refer business loans, mortgage loans, and investment prospects to the appropriate sales representative within the bank.

Participate in business development activities such as officer call programs, community organizations, and special events sponsored by the bank.

Maintain teller cash drawer and assist customers when necessary, following cash handling and balancing guidelines as specified in the Retail Operations Manual.

Monitor cash shipment orders through the Federal Reserve Bank and the delivery of cash through an authorized institution.

Review the daily overdraft report, make decisions based on bank policy and procedures before 10:00 a.m.

Perform quarterly audit of Travelers Cheques and monthly audits of the teller cash drawer and the vault; assist Teller with weekly balancing of the ATM.

Provide backup teller support as needed, including processing transactions, answering phones, balancing the vault, and assisting customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Customer‑oriented with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people.
Previous banking experience or experience in a customer service role is a plus.
Ability to promote and sell bank products and services.
Commitment to outstanding client service and adherence to bank policies.
