Description

Top Line Financial Credit Union has been a member-owned financial services cooperative since 1935. We are looking for outgoing individuals to join our Top Line team that is dedicated to building life-long relationships to help our members reach and manage their financial goals.

A successful Indirect Underwriter/Processor will be able to do:

  • Reviews, analyzes and makes credit decisions and performs adverse regulatory actions on indirect loans.
  • Obtains pertinent information and documentation relative to credit requests, analyzes data for credit worthiness, calculates debt ratio and credit score, obtains proper collateral valuation, evaluates risk, and makes judgment to approve, counter-offer or deny requests within assigned lending limits.
  • Provides indirect dealers prompt credit decision responses and informs dealers electronically and verbally on our approvals using a sales approach.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge and compliance of policies and procedures of Top Line lending products.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable, work independently with limited supervision, and the ability to make decisions in a timely manner essential.
  • Review indirect loan files prior to funding for compliance and to ensure accuracy.
  • Fund indirect loans in accordance with Top Line policy and guidelines.
  • Provide assistance to dealership personnel with funding related issues, including but not limited to, follow up on funding conditions for contracts in house and account research for discrepancies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with dealerships to maintain and grow business relationships.
  • Assist indirect members with inquiries and loan maintenance.
  • Maintain and complete accurate files pertaining to all loans including, but not limited to, applications, documents, collateral tracking and filing, insurance records, recording of documents, clearing encumbrances, and other documentation.
  • Complete paid in full report including releasing liens in a timely manner as set forth by the lending management team.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of products/services, rules/regulations, policy, practices and procedures as it relates to indirect consumer lending. Performs other related duties and special projects as required or assigned.
  • Responsible for annual due diligence on all active dealer files.

Requirements

  • Two or more years experience in Indirect Lending equivalent knowledge and/or experience at a financial institution essential
  • Maintains knowledge of all laws and regulations governing lending
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to support changing demands, work independently with limited supervision and the ability to make decisions in a timely manner essential.
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a diverse environment that encompasses regular deadlines, where changeis always possible and flexibility is required.
  • Acquires and maintains a current knowledge of legal and regulatory areas related to consumer lending. These may include, but are not limited to:
    Regs Z, B, E, C, CC, M;
    Fair Credit Reporting Act;
    Bank Secrecy Act
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential, including documentation.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Good math aptitude essential.
  • Personal computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite essential.
  • Good credit analyzing and decision ability in a timely manner.
