Overview
A large client of ours is seeking an execution‑focused Project Manager to lead a six‑month enterprise initiative aimed at assessing, rationalizing, and standardizing lab storage and storage‑related equipment across a highly decentralized organization. This hands‑on role is responsible for rapidly establishing enterprise visibility into lab storage spend, space utilization, equipment types, vendors, and contracts; synthesizing data from finance, procurement, facilities, and site‑level inventories;
and delivering actionable recommendations to enable leadership decision‑making.
- Lead a six‑month enterprise initiative to assess, rationalize, and standardize lab storage and storage‑related equipment across a decentralized organization.
- Rapidly establish enterprise visibility into lab storage spend, space utilization, equipment types, vendors, and contracts; synthesize data from finance, procurement, facilities, and site‑level inventories; and deliver actionable recommendations for leadership decision‑making.
- Define standard storage categories, decision criteria, and governance guardrails suitable for regulated environments.
- Partner closely with Quality, Facilities, and cross‑functional stakeholders to design and pilot a minimum viable internal marketplace to enable reuse of underutilized lab assets, supported by clear workflows, tools, and metrics (e.g., avoided spend and reuse rates).
- Manage stakeholders across multiple sites with limited direct authority, maintain disciplined execution against weekly milestones, and build quality and compliance into all aspects of the work.
- Must‑to‑have: HS Diploma required; BS is not required but preferred.
- 5+ years of project or program management experience.
- Experience operating in regulated environments (medical device, pharma, biotech, or similar).
- Exposure to laboratory operations, R&D infrastructure, or scientific environments.
- Experience with asset management, facilities optimization, or internal reuse programs.
- Proven success delivering enterprise‑wide operational or cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with incomplete or imperfect data.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high‑autonomy, decentralized organizations.
- Strong communicator who can influence without authority.
- Comfortable operating under time constraints and ambiguity.
