Paramedic - Brainerd

About this position

Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports customers of all ages to a medical facility. In addition, the paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.

This position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus. Current team members or former team members employed by North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Health or Blaze Health in the last six (6) months are not eligible to receive a sign‑on bonus. Sign‑on bonuses have a repayment commitment, and a prorated repayment is required if the commitment is not fulfilled.

• Successfully completed paramedic training program from an accredited institution.
• Associate of Science degree preferred.

• Previous ambulance experience preferred.
• Previous advanced life support experience preferred.
• For Air Care Paramedics, three (3) years of ALS experience as a paramedic required.
• For Air Care Paramedics, prior flight experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to organize, problem‑solve, make decisions during emergency situations and work independently.
• Possess or quickly acquire knowledge of the street and highway system within the service area.

• Current Minnesota or Wisconsin Paramedic Certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date.
• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS Certification or American Red Cross ALS and BLS Certification upon hire or within 14 days.
• Valid State Class D driver’s license in the state of residency with an acceptable driving record.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS Certification.
• ICS‑100, ICS‑200 and ICS‑700 or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire date.

Salary Range:
Medical Transportation Paramedic Outstate ($30.90 - $42.75), based on experience
