ASL Fluent Caregiver in Saint Paul

We are looking for a Caregiver who is fluent or highly proficient in ASL to care for a resident at our small assisted living facility in Saint Paul, MN. Schedule is extremely flexible.

• Help clients take prescribed medication

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the facility

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

• Help clients with physical therapy exercises

• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the Dietary Manager

• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own

• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.

For this position Caregiver MUST be fluent/ highly proficient in ASL (American Sign Language.)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum six months of Caregiving experience.

• Experience in an Assisted Living preferred

• Ability to pass a background check with MN DHS.

• Reliable transportation required..

• Compassionate about the care and well-being of others.

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language adequately to respond to individual's needs.

• Ability to see and hear to communicate effectively.

• Ability to lift to 50-75 pounds, which includes transferring individuals.

• Ability to perform delegated nursing tasks as assigned.

• Ability to respond to emergencies in accordance with procedures and guidelines.

• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, push and pull.

Salary: $19 - $21.00 per hour

Friday's 3:15 PM - 11:15 PM

Saturday's 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM & 3:15 PM - 11:15 PM

Sunday's 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM & 3:15 PM - 11:15 PM

Note: The above reflects the initial need for this position, but management is open to working with you on a schedule that fits.

Location: Must be able to commute to or relocate to Maplewood, MN before starting.
