We are partnering with a respected healthcare organization to identify a Director of Rehab for a skilled nursing facility in Willmar, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed therapist who enjoys both patient care and leadership. In this treating leadership role, you'll oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department while continuing to provide direct therapy services.
This opportunity is open to Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA).
Compensation:
PT/OT: $40–$48 per hour
OTA: $30–$35 per hour
This position is also eligible for a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, or a combination of both.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the therapy department while maintaining a patient caseload
- Lead, mentor, and support therapists, assistants, students, and rehabilitation staff
- Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and department performance to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure documentation, clinical practices, and department processes remain compliant with regulatory and facility standards
- Conduct staff evaluations, provide coaching, and support ongoing professional development
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate quality patient care
- Monitor quality assurance initiatives, departmental goals, and performance metrics
Assist with budgeting, reporting, inventory management, and program development - Support referral relationships and identify opportunities to expand rehabilitation services
- Promote a positive, service-focused culture centered on exceptional patient outcomes
- Licensed PT, OT, or OTA eligible to practice in Minnesota
- Previous clinical therapy experience required
- Leadership or management experience preferred
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience is highly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively balance patient care responsibilities with department leadership
