About the role:

Thank you for your interest in the Senior Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Analyst position with Boston Scientific's Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) division. Then you may be an excellent candidate for our HEMA Analyst role. This role serves as the senior analytical leader for our IO&E HEMA team, translating complex reimbursement and policy data into strategic insights that directly influence commercial and portfolio decisions.

Work model and sponsorship:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arbor Lakes office in Maple Grove, MN at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead and strategic owner of Interventional Oncology & Embolization HEMA analytics, setting analytical direction and standards across IO&E franchises to support and reimbursement, coding, and documentation inquiries from divisional sales force and key external stakeholders (e.g., hospitals, clinicians, investigator sites, professional societies).
  • Serve as the analytics subject matter expert for senior leadership, synthesizing complex reimbursement and economic data into executive-ready insights and recommendations
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact research opportunities using Medicare claims, CMS data, and third-party datasets; independently scope, design and execute complex analyses to inform strategic decision-making and long-range planning
  • Proactively identify reimbursement and policy risks/ opportunities and recommend mitigation or growth strategies
  • Recommend, select, maintain, and update health economic and reimbursement resources for the IO&E business unit, including coding guides and reimbursement calculators.
  • Establish and govern analytical best practices, data standards, and visualization frameworks across IO&E, ensuring methodological rigor, reproducibility, and alignment with corporate HEMA standards
  • Lead analytic inputs into reimbursement strategies for new product launches and product portfolio planning (e.g., upstream team requests several ad hoc requests about different indications and the utilization of therapies).
  • Lead enterprise-wide education initiatives on reimbursement economics and policy implications, serving as a recognized internal expert
  • Collaborate with functional colleagues to inform strategic activities related to health economic research, health policy and business development.
  • Lead cross-functional analytic work streams, coordinating inputs across marketing, clinical, regulatory and corporate HEMA

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in public health, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, health care administration, or a related discipline. 5+ years of experience in health care, preferably with experience working with oncology medical technologies in the medical device arena.
