DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a night-shift sleep center role requiring RPSGT certification and prior travel experience.
Details- Sleep Center setting performing polysomnographic testing and sleep studies
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every Saturday or Sunday required
- No call requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Polysomnography experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- License required if applicable
- Adult population experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Performs intake admissions, distributes and collects questionnaires, and reviews study procedures with customers
- Initiates PAP trials and mask fitting
- Performs polysomnographic studies and ensures quality, artifact-free recordings
- Stages and scores events during testing and prepares studies for physician interpretation
- Provides shift-change handoff information and discharge instructions to customers
- Sets up and completes Wrist Ox and Actigraphy study reports
- Performs equipment cleaning and disinfecting as needed
- Black scrubs required
- Accepts local candidates at a reduced rate within a 35 mile radius
- Clinicians with prior work history at this health system or its affiliated facilities must disclose this on their resume
- MN DHS Net Study and fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored afterward
