We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our Rheumatology Medical Support Staff team.

As a Medical Assistant
, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care by supporting providers, building strong patient relationships, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role supports the Rheumatology team within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

  • Travel required to Crystal and Maple Grove locations
  • Schedule:Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (4-day workweek)
  • Hourly Range:$21.50 - $27.00 (based on relevant experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus:$1,500 (paid in three installments)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers during exams and support efficient patient flow
  • Prepare patients for visits: rooming, vitals, and EHR documentation (eClinicalWorks)
  • Perform clinical procedures including injections, address patient messages, and assist with insurance appeals
  • Educate patients and ensure completion of forms and care instructions
  • Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment
  • Follow OSHA and clinic protocols
  • Travel to other clinic locations as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-focused team environment

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assisting program required
  • Medical Assistant Certification Preferred
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
  • Commitment to compassionate, inclusive patient care
