DescriptionThe Occupational Health & Industrial Rehabilitation Therapist provides specialized occupational health, injury prevention, and rehabilitation services to employees, injured workers, and patients across a variety of clinical and workplace environments. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality care through comprehensive evaluations, evidence-based treatment interventions, functional testing, and employer-focused services designed to improve workforce health, safety, and performance.
Serving as a clinical resource to employer partners, this role provides Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), work conditioning, post-offer employment testing, ergonomic job risk analyses, job demand analyses, early symptom intervention, injury prevention programming, and return-to-work coaching. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively work in both outpatient and on-site employer settings while collaborating with employers, physicians, case managers, and other stakeholders to optimize employee health, function, safety, and return-to-work outcomes.

OSI is a physical therapy brand within the Therapy Department of TCO, the Orthopedic Division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health)., a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Job Functions:- Perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), post-offer employment testing, physical demand assessments, and job demand analyses to support employment placement, fitness-for-duty determinations, and return-to-work planning.
- Develop, implement, and administer work conditioning and work hardening programs designed to restore functional capacity and facilitate safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive ergonomic job risk assessments including task analysis, force analysis, posture evaluation, body mechanics assessment, and identification of workplace risk factors.
- Provide early symptom intervention services, injury prevention programming, workforce health education, and wellness initiatives for employees and employer partners.
- Observe employee work performance and job demands to identify opportunities to reduce injury risk, improve safety, and enhance employee performance through evidence-based recommendations and corrective action planning.
- Serve as a clinical resource for employers regarding occupational health initiatives, injury prevention strategies, ergonomics, safe work practices, return-to-work coaching, and workforce performance optimization.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic, occupational, and work-related injuries utilizing evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, employers, case managers, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes and return-to-work success.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, assessments, and administrative responsibilities in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
- Maintain flexibility to provide services in clinical and employer settings, including travel between i-Health clinic locations and employer worksites as business demands require.
