A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an accomplished Real Estate Finance Attorney to join its Minneapolis, MN office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 7–10 years of sophisticated real estate finance experience who thrives on leading complex transactions with autonomy and precision.

In this position, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to lender-side clients across a wide range of financing structures. Expect to work on high-value transactions involving real estate–secured lending, land banking arrangements, mezzanine financing, preferred equity investments, and other innovative capital stack components. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of deals from origination through closing, collaborating with seasoned colleagues while maintaining direct client engagement.

• Serve as lead counsel on complex real estate finance matters, managing transactions from start to finish.
• Represent lenders in debt financing secured by real property across diverse asset classes.
• Structure and negotiate land banking, mezzanine, preferred equity, and other alternative financing arrangements.
• Oversee all aspects of closing, documentation, and client communication with confidence and clarity.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing practice that values judgment, initiative, and commercial awareness.

• J.D. with admission to the Minnesota bar.
• 7–10 years of substantive experience in real estate finance.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to run deals independently.
• Prior large law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $265,000–$300,000
