As part of the Global Enterprise Excellence team, the Associate Director, Global Value Improvement partners with global stakeholders to identify and deliver prioritized enterprise-wide value improvement initiatives. This role provides strategic leadership and leads a team of program managers to address complex, cross-functional challenges and execute high-impact projects that drive sustainable operating margin improvements.

This leader will play a key role in accelerating enterprise transformation through operational excellence, cost optimization and AI-enabled innovation. By collaborating across businesses, functions and regions, the role drives scalable improvements that enhance financial performance, operational efficiency and long-term enterprise value.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be onsite at least three days per week and sit out of one of the following Boston Scientific locations:
Maple Grove, Minnesota;
Arden Hills, Minnesota; or Marlborough, Massachusetts. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead a high-performing team of program managers applying data-driven insights, disciplined program management and continuous improvement methodologies to deliver enterprise outcomes.

Provide strategic leadership and enterprise-level governance for complex transformation programs focused on operating margin expansion and cost optimization.

Partner with executive stakeholders to define value targets, shape multiyear cost optimization roadmaps and ensure rigorous, on-time program delivery.

Collaborate with leaders across the organization to build a robust pipeline of initiatives that deliver cash, productivity and value improvement projects supporting long-range operating margin goals and top-quartile variable spend performance.

Utilize structured governance, data-driven decision-making and change management expertise to accelerate performance, eliminate inefficiencies and institutionalize continuous improvement.

Build and sustain a strong portfolio of enterprise-wide value improvement projects to achieve targeted annual improvement rates.

Lead and deliver prioritized variable spend programs to optimize category spend and improve financial performance.

Influence senior leaders, drive cross-functional alignment and ensure accountability for achieving program objectives and financial outcomes.

Apply structured change management practices to build adoption, mitigate resistance and embed new ways of working across the enterprise.

Monitor variable spend performance metrics and ensure alignment with operating margin targets and enterprise financial commitments.

Identify high-impact cost optimization use cases and partner with AI teams to deliver solutions that reduce operational costs and enhance end-to-end user experience.

Oversee model performance, ensuring continuous improvement, operational reliability and sustained business value realization.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or another related field.
