PositionSummary
- Maintaining Production, R&D, Lab and other equipment as operational and safe without excess expenditures.
- Supervising and executing planned and unplanned equipment maintenance activities
- Supervising and executing the spare parts inventory process
- Implementing and maintaining documented maintenance tasks and schedules for all equipment where needed.
- Dispatch and coordinate the Manufacturing Technology team responsible for all unplanned maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair
- Coordinate and execute the preventative maintenance function of Manufacturing Technology
- Maintain physical inventory of all necessary spare parts
- Utilize the CMMS software for scheduling, tracking, planning, planned and unplanned maintenance activities and procurement of spare parts inventory items
- Manage the procurement process and procure both inventory and non-inventory items for the Manufacturing Technology team
- Analyze and provide leadership in solving technical problems
- Generate, release, and update as necessary Maintenance Control documents in compliance with applicable quality systems procedures and job aids
- Review and approve installation qualification protocols, reports, and safety requirements as the Manufacturing Technology representative
- Supervise direct reports including reinforcing the open door policy and ensuring duties, responsibilities, authority and expectations for direct reports are defined and understood.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed taking timely corrective action with the help of HR when necessary.
- Interview, select, train and evaluate performance of new hires.
- Train others (internal and external as necessary) to develop a competent technical back up
- Stay current on all applicable certifications
- Provide input and support related to the procurement of new equipment
- Complete technical improvement projects that lead to improved quality, reduced cost, or increased capacity
- Receives/Initiates/Performs other duties as assigned
- Associates (two year) technical degree or trade school degree required Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or physical science preferred.
- Ten years of related sustaining/maintenance experience required, medical device manufacturing experience perferred.
- Two years of people leadership experience required.
- Creative problem solver.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with tools and instrumentation.
- Competent with computers and software programs as well as fundamental electro/mechanical operation and function.
- Experienced in budgeting and planning processes and implementation.
- Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and equipment related quality systems procedures required.
