About the Role
Become a Senior Production Planner for our Boston Scientific Operations Commercial Planning team in Maple Grove, MN. The role involves planning the manufacture of finished devices for our global customers across our plant network, owning and improving production planning processes, tools, and systems. Production planners work closely with key partners and customers throughout the value stream to improve quality, cost, and delivery of Boston Scientific medical devices worldwide.
This position provides leadership for key processes such as SIOP, SIOE, and CI/LBP projects. A successful candidate should have strong technical skills and process capabilities, with the ability to influence cross‑functionally and cross‑regionally, lead projects, give work direction, and execute manufacturing/materials strategy and tactics. The role follows a hybrid work model requiring presence in the local office at least three days a week.
Responsibilities- Serve as key point of contact for production units, sister sites, and Global Supply Chain partners during SIOP/SIOE planning processes
- Provide strategic input and direction on manufacturing priorities to stakeholders
- Proactively identify and problem solve material shortages impacting the build plans
- Identify opportunities and execute projects to achieve service level, build plan, on‑time delivery, and inventory objectives
- Own WIP and subassembly inventory for areas of management
- Train associates on the Planning/Materials Processes
- Manage master data elements, including safety stock, yields, lead‑time, etc.
- Provide inventory and recovery plan analysis as required
- Perform What If scenario planning as required
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to manage product life cycle activities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, demand planning, and/or supply chain
- Knowledge and experience with the SI&OP process
- Knowledge and experience with ERP software systems and MRP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
- Prior experience in a medical device or highly regulated industry
- Knowledge and experience with SAP
- Knowledge and experience with APS software systems, ideally Kinaxis Rapid Response
- Experience in planning vertically integrated manufacturing
- APICS certification
- Experience in driving continuous improvement and/or project management
Requisition
Minimum Salary: $ 71,500
Maximum Salary: $ 135,800
Compensation will vary based on location and other factors. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
