Position:
Manufacturing Engineer Technician II

Weekend Day Shift: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, Friday – Sunday.

Role Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer Technician II, you support the factory floor by ensuring equipment and processes perform as intended, with a focus on equipment. You will work on the weekend shift as part of a technician team in the Access and Delivery Solutions Assembly (ADSA) business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to problems on the floor and support manufacturing engineering.
  • Perform troubleshooting and solve equipment and process problems.
  • Conduct maintenance activities for PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform standard preventive maintenance and calibration tasks on equipment.
  • Document common or recurring issues for resolution by the ME team.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with tooling and fixtures.
  • Execute simple tooling and equipment qualifications with guidance.
  • Assist the ME team in executing Value Improvement Projects (VIP) to improve or revise existing processes for cost savings.
  • Provide technical support or direction to operators and medical device specialists.
  • Support shutdowns, which may include staying late to ensure equipment is safely de‑energized.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with a high school diploma, degree, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong hands‑on mechanical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Self‑motivated to seek opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Electro‑mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Control system experience, such as interfacing with PLC.
  • Hands‑on experience with measurement systems (calipers, micrometers, tool scopes, etc.).
  • Experience with mechanical print reading.
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of Lean principles.
  • Heat transfer equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Laser weld equipment troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally).
