  • Use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills to perform mechanical assembly tasks, including installing shelves, attaching machined parts, and integrating modular systems, representing about 40% of daily work.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and assembly documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality builds of medical capital equipment.
  • Work closely with engineers to provide feedback on assembly processes and assist in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product builds.
  • Verify that assemblies meet quality, safety, and functional requirements before release to the next stage of production.
  • Maintain cleanroom discipline, including proper handling of components, tools, and equipment to meet medical manufacturing standards.
  • Safely lift and handle equipment and components weighing up to 40 pounds as part of daily assembly activities.
  • Document work as required, including recording build steps, issues encountered, and improvements identified for future builds.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of assembly experience in a medical environment building capital equipment, beyond simple devices such as catheters.
  • Proven experience with electromechanical assembly in a regulated or medical manufacturing setting.
  • Hands-on experience working in a cleanroom environment for medical assembly.
  • Ability to perform detailed electrical assembly, including routing wires and connecting cables accurately and consistently.
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills for mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Experience with medical manufacturing processes and standards for building complex machines and capital equipment.
  • Capability to follow detailed work instructions and technical documentation without direct supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams to support process development and improvement.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds safely during routine work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in machine building or complex equipment assembly in a medical or similarly regulated industry.
  • Experience contributing to the creation or refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with modular system integration and working with machined parts in an electromechanical context.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment typical of early-stage medical device organizations.
