Technician Contract to Hire
We have an outstanding contract to hire position for a technician to join a leading company located in the Maple Grove, MN surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $30.80 - 34.32
US Citizenship is required.
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
We are seeking an experienced technician to work in our Pilot Production Line performing assembly and testing of complex electro-mechanical assemblies of electronic products and support equipment.
Responsibilities:- Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and be able to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Be able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekends.
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems.
- Performs a variety of duties assisting team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, troubleshooting and problem solving, and transitioning new products into production.
- Basic Hiring Criteria:
- 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
- Required skills include proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
- Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, and test with near zero defects.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001, or have knowledge of these requirements.
- Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (ie., scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data.
- Must demonstrate ability to read and use mechanical assembly and measurement tools such as micrometers and torque wrenches.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.

Qualifications: - 2-year technical degree and 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
- Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication, and test improvements.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve assembly issues.
- Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience.
- Troubleshooting of electronic and electrical systems.
- Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
- Understanding of basic machining techniques.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
