Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Nextern is seeking a versatile, hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician who can work across both sides of our product portfolio: complex electromechanical devices — consoles, capital equipment, and their supporting test systems — and precision single-use disposables, specifically catheter and balloon catheter systems. This combined role exists because our programs increasingly pair a capital console with a disposable, and we need technicians who can support the full system rather than one half of it.
This is not an entry-level position. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on technician experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and will work with limited supervision — building and debugging electromechanical assemblies, running electrical safety and automated functional test stations, executing catheter and balloon processes to tight tolerances, supporting equipment qualifications, and investigating returned product. The technician serves as a direct extension of the manufacturing engineering team on the floor and is often the first person to touch a problem.
Nextern operates a global manufacturing footprint, and this role supports process transfer, station replication, and build support with our Costa Rica, China, and Vietnam sites.
