Material Handler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Material Handler to join a leading aerospace and defense team in Maple Grove, MN. This is a 1-year Contract-to-Hire opportunity working a 9/80 schedule (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM) with overtime available as needed. In this role, you will perform inventory control, process incoming and outgoing materials, operate material handling equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records using computer systems.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management within a warehouse environment.
• Education & Basic Requirements:
  High School Diploma or equivalent; must be 18+ years old with a valid driver's license.
• Physical & Equipment:
  Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, operate handheld scanners, and drive electric or propane-powered forklifts.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficient with data entry, typing, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong basic math, detail orientation, and ability to read shipping documents.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Forklift / High-Reach truck certification and Hazmat Shipper training are a plus.

• Load, unload, open, and inspect material containers using hand tools and scales.
• Perform physical inventory counts, wall-to-wall cycle counts, and manual/scale weighing.
• Use computer systems and handheld scanners to track, log, verify, and record material data.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely to move materials onto pallets and trays.
• Read, review, and process shipping and receiving documents accurately.
• Maintain an organized, safe workspace and collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines.
