Position: Associate Manager, Upstream Marketing (hybrid)

Job Overview

Work Flexibility:
Remote. Stryker’s Upper Extremities division focuses on better outcomes for Shoulder Arthroplasty customers. This role leads a team of portfolio marketers and maintains product responsibilities focused on expanding the Shoulder Arthroplasty implant portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead upstream marketing strategy by defining product vision, market strategy, portfolio roadmaps and long-term growth plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive customer and market insights through segmentation, voice of customer, competitive intelligence, and unmet needs analysis to influence product development and innovation.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and product positioning while partnering cross-functionally to ensure customer needs are translated into successful product strategies.
  • Guide portfolio and lifecycle management by leading pricing strategy, evidence generation, product lifecycle planning, and strategic investment decisions.
  • Partner across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Sales, and Finance to develop business cases, launch strategies, and commercialization plans that accelerate growth.
  • Leverage data and financial insights to build forecasts, business cases, budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics that support strategic decision-making.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and industry stakeholders to shape product strategy, clinical evidence generation, and market adoption.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing marketing team by coaching talent, fostering innovation, driving strategic thinking, and promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience.
  • Preferred: MBA.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in medical device or marketing/sales.
  • Experience with developing software on Hololens Mixed Reality Technology.
  • Must be located in the United States of America.
Compensation and Travel

Pay Ranges: US5: $107,700 - $179,600 USD.

Annual Travel: 40%.

Flexibility
  • Remote – role allows majority to 100% time from alternate workplace.
  • Field-based – expect to work majority to 100% time at customer facilities and within a set territory.

  • Hybrid – regularly work in both alternate workplace and Stryker facility.
