Job Description

Community Resource Representative - Navigator

Nonprofit membership organization serving the 4-county area. Our Mission is to help community members connect with services they need to effectively care for themselves and their families. Our services are voluntary and free to residents. Passion for the mission is essential. Confidentiality and adherence to data privacy is critical.

  • $21-22/hour $43,680/year
  • Full time and part-time hours available
  • Retirement, paid holidays and generous PTO package
  • We provide ongoing, job specific training

Job description:

Interviewclients; explainprogram benefits and eligibility requirements, obtainand verifyinformation necessary to process applications and recertification.

Advise clients on viable program options; providereferrals for alternative resources. Assist clients with county, state, federal and other nonprofit program applications.

Workin cooperation and coordination with county staff, local, state and federal agencies, service providers and nonprofits to provide client access to services and application or renewal assistance.

Maintain case files and records.

Respondto client concerns and complaints; provideadvocacy as needed.

Participate in agency outreach, networking, and interagency meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Employment offers contingent upon completing andpassing a background check.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Thorough knowledge of community resources and programs as well as the principles and practices of public social service organizations.
  • Composestandard and specialized business correspondence.
  • Createand maintainapplicable filesand program records.
  • Proficiency instandard office equipment and software.
  • Ability to
    • Analyze data and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.
    • Meet reporting requirements and deadlines.
    • Follow complex oral and written instructions.
    • Manage workload and respond to the public in a timely manner.
    • Communicate effectively; orally and in writing.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, coworkers, comparable agencies at other levels of government, business partners, and the general public.
