Clinic Supervisor - Gastroenterology

Job Overview

Fairview has an immediate opening for a full‑time, salaried Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee RN and support staff in gastroenterology at the University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center. The role requires working 80 hours every two weeks: 80% of the time at the Minneapolis Clinical Surgery Center and 20% at the Maple Grove MG Ambulatory Care Center. Clinics operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00–6:00 p.m.

• Deliver care following established standards and protocols, sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic.
• Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients according to nursing standards and practices, supporting quality patient- and family-centered care principles through a variety of high-level functions within the care team.
• Educate patients and the public about various medical conditions; maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation for each patient; continually seek opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
• Manage operations of designated staff, both clinical and non-clinical, including oversight of front desk, check-in, and non-clinical staff operations; provide workflow direction and management to achieve departmental and organizational objectives; coordinate, ensure consistency, and integrate clinic site operations; assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures, strategic planning and budgeting, and leading or participating in improvement projects or teams.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
