Quality Manager

Manage certification and documentation for standard systems, military specifications, and outside agency files.

Manage all quality department staff, including productivity, quality, and discipline.

Evaluate and verify evidence of recurrence prevention for all internal corrective action reports, directing changes or improvements as necessary.

Evaluate and direct improvements for all process procedure documents, training checklists, process tests, and review and sign off on revisions.

Evaluate and update the quality manual and applicable procedures annually.

Evaluate rejected and defected materials for acceptability based on internal and electronic industry standards.

Provide failure analysis for products rejected both internally and externally via returns to accurately provide corrective action and recurrence prevention.

Evaluate daily rejects resulting in restart orders, provide failure analysis as needed, assign root cause by department or process, and publish daily reports.

Evaluate weekly reject statistics, assisting managers and department supervisors in identifying root causes and solutions.

Compile monthly reject statistics, charting short term and year-to-date progression to analyze trends and assist in problem solving.

Produce year-to-date statistical reports monthly to analyze and track overall department, shipping yield, restart, and production yield performance, assisting senior management in identifying problem areas.

Manage and evaluate testing laboratory files, maintaining accuracy to current applications and processes, and design necessary qualification samples or complete applications to maintain or obtain certifications.

Respond to written and verbal customer surveys regarding capabilities, processes, acceptance criteria, quality systems, and production performance.

Act as the secondary contact for on-site quality audits and surveys from customers and licensing agencies.

Act as a company representative to facility visitors, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on equipment and processes to communicate effectively during facility tours.

Maintain and improve data gathering tools, including overseeing the operation of yield, corrective action reports, and restart databases.

Oversee and manage customer complaints, automated optical inspection, the cross section lab, in-process inspection, final inspection, quality engineering, and shipping and receiving.

Work directly with customers to quickly resolve issues with shipped products and maintain customer confidence.

Maintain an active daily presence on the production floor to answer questions, oversee potential quality issues in manufacturing, and hold ultimate responsibility for manufacturing quality.

Manage and oversee all daily receiving and shipping document control.

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

Proven experience (5 plus years) in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronic components or circuit board manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of ITAR regulations and their application to manufacturing processes.

Experience leading quality teams and implementing quality management systems.

Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Familiarity with ISO, AS9102, AS9100, MIL-SPEC 55110, 31032, Underwriters Laboratories, and IPC standards.
