* Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is supporting a leading medical device organization known for developing innovative healthcare technologies that improve patient outcomes. We are seeking a
** Scientist I
** to support research, testing, and product development initiatives within a collaborative scientific and engineering environment.
This role is ideal for a scientist with a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, or engineering who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, experimental execution, data analysis, and supporting the development of innovative medical technologies.
The Scientist I will work alongside experienced scientists and engineers to execute experiments, evaluate data, support technical documentation, and contribute to research projects focused on advancing medical device technologies.

* ** Key Responsibilities*
* ** Research & Experimental Support*
* + Execute laboratory experiments and testing activities in support of research and development projects.
+ Support evaluation of new technologies and product concepts within assigned technical areas.
+ Perform routine experimental techniques and processes according to established procedures and protocols.
+ Develop understanding of experimental design, including Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.
+ Support method development activities under the guidance of senior technical staff.
+ Participate as a member of cross-functional project teams supporting experimental execution.
** Data Analysis & Documentation*
* + Analyze experimental data and identify trends, inconsistencies, or potential issues.
+ Compare results against historical data and established expectations.
+ Generate data summaries, technical reports, presentations, and internal documentation.
+ Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, test documentation, and experimental records.
+ Support documentation requirements within a regulated medical device environment.
+ Apply scientific judgment when interpreting results and communicating findings.
** Laboratory Operations & Quality Compliance*
* + Maintain familiarity with relevant technologies, scientific literature, and industry practices.
+ Follow laboratory procedures, safety requirements, and environmental health and safety (EH&S) standards.
+ Maintain organized laboratory work spaces and support housekeeping requirements.
+ Assist with equipment maintenance and qualification activities, including IQ/OQ documentation when needed.
+ Manage laboratory supplies, sample requests, and inventory activities according to procedures.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory processes and infrastructure.
** Collaboration & Communication*
* + Communicate technical findings clearly through written reports and verbal presentations.
+ Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technical teams to support project objectives.
+ Manage multiple priorities while meeting project timelines and deliverables.
+ Participate in problem-solving activities and contribute ideas for process improvements.
** Quality & Compliance Responsibilities*
* + Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality by following established quality systems, procedures, and documentation requirements.
+ Complete required documentation, records, and project tracking activities accurately and on time.
+ Follow site-specific procedures related to laboratory records, inventory control, materials handling, and equipment usage.
** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
+ Minimum of
** 2 years of medical device experience
** required.
+ Hands-on laboratory experience supporting testing, experimentation, or method development.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to interpret scientific data and communicate technical information effectively.
+ Experience documenting laboratory work through notebooks, reports, or technical documentation.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
+ Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Experience developing or improving test methods.
+ Experience supporting medical device testing activities.
+ Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology.
+ Experience using statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or similar software.
+ Familiarity with scientific data analysis and technical reporting.
