The Water Technician plays a crucial role in managing and executing restoration projects, including those involving water and microbial damage. You will oversee the hands-on restoration efforts, coordinate with other team members, and ensure that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
Responsibilities- Perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, demolition, removal, and decontamination according to industry best practices and project specifications.
- Assist Lead Water Technician in conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of damaged properties, document findings, and produce the scopes of work for each restoration plan.
- Communicate with Lead Water Technicians, Project Managers and Production Coordinators to explain scope progress, address concerns, and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Operate and maintain restoration equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely.
- Monitor work quality, perform final inspections, and ensure all tasks are completed to meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including daily logs, photos, and progress reports; ensure documentation is uploaded to the correct applications.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment and minimizing risks to team members and clients.
- Provide support for on-the-job training and guidance to less experienced technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve overall team performance.
- Remain onsite for the entirety of the scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours, to ensure project continuity and team efficiency.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.

Preferred
- OSHA 10/30/40 Certification
- IICRC certification in WRT and/or ASD
- Lead Renovation certification
- Previous experience completing Restoration Services
This is an in-field position that requires frequent travel to and from active job sites. Jobsites may contain asbestos, microbial growth, lead, or other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. Jobsites may or may not have electricity; expect to work in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Physical DemandsThis position typically requires standing or walking for extended periods and may involve heavy manual labor. You may be asked to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items often. This role may require lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs with or without team assistance.
