Responsibilities
- Perform service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality
- Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
- Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems
- Conduct intermediate and advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipe fitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment
- Educate technical and non-technical customers on proper use of equipment
- Lead and participate in the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC level units
- Record and report billing, inventory, and timecards
- Download programs into commercial HVAC equipment and analyze chiller trend data
- Participate in available training
- Maintain all required certifications
- 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Accepted as Journeyman by the union
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Rotational Emergency Call Support
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
