As a Field Service Mechanic A, you are a master technician who will assume a leadership role in product knowledge and quality standards within the branch. You will serve as a go‑to resource for ensuring Hercules fleet operates in optimal condition at customer job sites, working independently and building positive relationships with customers.

• Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of preventive maintenance for all Hercules‑owned fleet at long‑term customer job sites.
• Oversee and conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and assorted services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
• Troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems.
• Recondition and replace parts to return equipment to a safely functioning state.
• Educate customers on proper use of equipment to avoid future breakdowns.
• Analyze problem areas for wear or tear and address them to ensure proper usage until the next scheduled visit.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines posted at the job site where repairs and maintenance are completed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the job site.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools.
• Ability to understand detailed technical schematics, operating manuals, and product warning labels.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Availability to be on call to support operational needs.
• A valid driver’s license.

• Ability to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner.
• Ability to handle assorted tools safely.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 LBs.
• Attention to detail.
• Customer‑service skills to converse naturally with job‑site foremen.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs on an active job site.
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy for opening and closing work orders.
• Proficiency in entering work orders.

Pay Range: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour (actual salary subject to company discretion).
