- Perform inspections on material prior to processing, including measuring thickness, width, and length, and visually inspecting for irregularities that could affect equipment or product quality.
- Utilize inspection tools including tape measures and micrometers.
- Perform Brinell Hardness inspections for in‑process and final product acceptance.
- Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Operate heat treat equipment while maintaining acceptable quality standards per internal and customer specifications.
- Learn and perform furnace operations, including lighting burners, priming pumps, operating filtration systems, cleaning filters, and understanding heat treat processes and computer controls.
- Complete equipment inspection forms, heat treat logs, and other production documentation.
- Record process parameters into controllers, computers, and Epicor LP systems.
- Maintain accurate plate identification, tagging, heat numbers, and traceability records.
- Participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures and guidelines.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately inspect materials, record data, and maintain traceability.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable operating industrial equipment and learning technical processes.
- Strong Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and safely work in a manufacturing environment.
- Safety Focused: Ability to maintain visual and auditory awareness while performing duties safely.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience.
- Heat treat, furnace, or production equipment experience.
- Overhead crane experience.
- Experience using measuring equipment such as tape measures and micrometers.
- Basic computer skills and experience entering production data.
