Position DetailsRole: Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Status: Part-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 4-days per week with rotating Saturdays

You do not have to be a Registered Veterinary Technician to apply. We're looking for someone with previous hands-on veterinary experience who is ready to jump in, share their skills, and continue learning and growing with us.

- Assist veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians during patient appointments, treatments, and procedures
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information
- Provide safe, compassionate handling and restraint for canine and feline patients
- Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples based on experience and training
- Assist with laboratory testing and sample preparation
- Prepare medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Provide attentive patient care and monitoring
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pets' care
- Assist with client education and reinforce veterinarian recommendations
- Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records
- Clean, organize, stock, and maintain exam and treatment areas
- Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient daily workflow
- Jump in wherever needed to support patients, clients, and coworkers
- Provide plenty of compassion and attention to our four-legged patients
- Previous hands-on veterinary clinic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary Technician registration is welcomed but not required
- Part-time availability with the ability to work rotating Saturdays
- Confidence handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately
- Strong client-service and communication skills
- Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
- A collaborative, team-first mindset
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a busy environment
- Willingness to ask questions, learn new skills, and continue growing professionally
- A willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
