Salary
The salary range for this position is CAD $28.74 - $28.74 per hour.
Job SummaryBe the welcoming face of our Cardiac Clinics located at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge BC and play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this fast‑paced role, you’ll manage front‑line reception, coordinate appointments, support patient records and data systems, and collaborate closely with physicians and care teams.

- Perform reception duties: answer phones, take/refers messages, greet and escort patients and visitors, inform staff of patient arrivals.
- Schedule client appointments for assessments or treatments following referral/review by the team; liaise with patients and physician offices to confirm appointments; arrange follow‑up visits as needed.
- Obtain patient records; input data into Meditech; maintain and research patient files and data.
- Complete patient registration documentation and enter data into the computer system.
- Type technical and non‑technical materials such as correspondence and reports for physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
- Open, date, and distribute mail; establish and maintain filing for the entire service.
- Compose correspondence such as form letters or draft letters for review and signature.
- Reserve/book meeting rooms for general or educational meetings; ensure audio‑visual equipment is available and functioning.
- Complete workload measurement statistics tabulation for the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 12 education and two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to type at 45 words per minute.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Physical stamina required to perform duties.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
