General Sales Manager Volkswagen

Position  General Sales Manager – Maple Ridge Volkswagen, Pitt Meadows, BC (Full‑Time, Immediate Hire)

Job Summary  Lead the sales team to create an exceptional experience for customers, driving high performance in new and used vehicle sales and financial services, and increasing market share, unit sales, and profit margins while delighting every guest.
Responsibilities   Set a clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales, financial services product sales, and overall sales profit.
Engage and motivate the team to meet key goals, performance expectations, and Auto Canada best‑practice processes.
Drive the business through a high level of involvement in day‑to‑day operations.
Manage negotiation and financing processes with Sales Associates to ensure customers understand purchase options and pricing.
Lead the Used Vehicle Department, including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and the reconditioning process.
Appraise vehicles for trade.
Manage all three areas of customer traffic: showroom, internet leads, and phones.
Partner with the General Manager to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory.
Assist in managing controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments.
Analyze the business to determine shortfalls and develop action plans to improve performance.
Measure performance against: targeted unit sales and gross profit, targeted associate retention, targeted customer satisfaction index.
Qualifications   High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven leadership ability to recruit, select, train, coach, and develop a team.
Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
Ability to drive an exceptional customer experience.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
Organization and follow‑up skills.
Experience and desire to work with technology.
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Valid driver’s license.
