Maintenance Manager – JLL

The Maintenance Manager will lead a multi‑site team of maintenance associates, potentially supervise Area Maintenance Managers, and ensure a safe working environment for all.

• Support the Operations team by working in a safe, customer‑focused manner; highly self‑motivated and customer‑centric.
• Develop and design innovative solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors, and be on call for emergencies.
• Handle multiple internal and externally sponsored projects, meeting deadlines, developing and tracking departmental and distribution goals.
• Work with local site Safety department leadership to understand, implement, and audit safety programs; ensure all safety programs and procedures are followed.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs, fostering relationships with operations leadership.
• Facilitate technical and safety training, supporting professional development of departmental facilities associates.
• Mentor maintenance associates to motivate and provide direction.
• Develop Maintenance department business plans and guide successful implementation.
• Work with site Finance team to develop, set, and track budgets.
• Participate in and support Kaizen activities for the site and network.
• Develop capital spending plans, facilitate cross‑functional project planning and cost analysis.
• Own and promote excellent housekeeping.
• Participate in weekly network Maintenance calls and periodic Manager conferences.
• Provide specific, enriched feedback, perform written performance appraisals including discipline and termination decisions.
• Travel up to 20%.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil).
• Ability to travel to various sites as needed.
• 5+ years’ experience in the distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience in the following areas:
  • Automated conveyor systems and controls
  • Electrical and electronic principles
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading
  • CMMS programs
  • Preventive maintenance procedures
  • Industrial electrical
  • Industrial controls
  • Industrial electronics
  • Industrial PC literacy
  • N.E.C.
• Ability to develop and maintain a partnership and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally with Safety, Operations, Engineering, Senior Management, peers, contractors and vendors.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize many different projects.
• Six Sigma Certification.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

• Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, walking; lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20lb, occasionally up to 49lb.
• Dexterity in eye/hand coordination; feet (foot pedals); manual tasks (picking, pinching, holding, grasping); wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
