Position: Maintenance Worker for Utilities Operations
The City of Maple Ridge seeks a dedicated Maintenance Worker for Utilities Operations. This regular full-time position focuses on maintaining and repairing essential water and sewer systems within the community.

You will work from the Maple Ridge Operations Centre, performing critical tasks such as managing fire hydrants, pumps, and supervising a team responsible for pipeline work.

Your role is essential in ensuring the reliability of the City’s utility services and in maintaining safety standards during operations, responding to service calls as needed to protect the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain water and sewer systems

• Supervise less complex maintenance operations

• Manage service calls effectively

• Operate and test pumps and hydrants

• Ensure all safety protocols are followed

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion and sound maintenance experience

• Level 1 certification as EOCP Water Distribution System Operator

• Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement in BC

• Capable of heavy outdoor manual work

• Familiarity with maintenance tools and safety regulations
