Transform plumbing services for School District No. 42, a key educational provider in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. This continuing position focuses on maintenance, installation, and repair across various systems.

SD42 is seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter effective July 1, 2026, on a 12-month schedule. You will maintain, inspect, and repair plumbing and heating systems while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for reporting and coordinating with facilities management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing, heating, and disposal systems

• Inspect fire protection systems and conduct backflow testing

• Interpret technical plans and building specifications

• Maintain records and documentation of all maintenance work

• Perform preventive inspections and repairs on equipment

Requirements:

• Trades Qualification Certificate in Plumbing with two years' experience

• Gasfitter Class 'B' License and Fire Protection Technician Certification

• Strong physical capability for hands-on tasks

• Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders

• Valid B.C. driver's license
