Utilities Maintenance Worker

Join the City of Maple Ridge as a full-time Utilities Maintenance Worker. This role focuses on maintaining the City’s water systems and requires strong technical expertise.

In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems. Key tasks include operating equipment, supervising staff, and responding to service calls efficiently. Your experience in pipe laying and pipe fitting will be invaluable in providing essential municipal services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair water distribution systems

• Operate and service pumps, fire hydrants, and other equipment

• Supervise staff performing manual maintenance tasks

• Respond to emergency service calls

• Maintain records of work performed

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent training and experience

• EOCP Water Distribution System Operator - Level 1 certification

• Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement

• Strong knowledge of safety standards

• Physical ability for heavy outdoor work
