Maintenance Technician

This is a hands-on maintenance role supporting a growing manufacturing facility. The position has been long-requested and is considered critical to sustaining plant operations. The successful candidate will join a small, collaborative team and work alongside existing technicians.

• Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs of metal stamping presses, drilling, and milling machines (60%).
• Troubleshoot and service electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems (20%).
• Conduct routine building and service maintenance tasks (10%).
• Occasionally access rooftops supported by scissor lifts (no ladder work).
• Document maintenance activities and communicate with team members.

• 2+ years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including blueprint and schematic interpretation.
• Basic knowledge of 12–480V electrical systems and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Physically capable of heavy lifting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

• Own tools required (company may supplement post-hire).
• Welding skills are advantageous.
• Fall protection certification, WHMIS, and forklift tickets are assets (training can be arranged).
• Willingness to learn ERP/SAP systems.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate patience.

Work in a rapidly growing 60,000 sq. ft. facility that may soon expand further. The dress code includes STWB (shoe or ankle high), jeans, and a tee shirt or sweater, excluding shorts or tanks. The first shift runs from 6:30 .–3 . or 7:30 .–4 ., Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pitt Meadows, BC.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
