The City of Maple Ridge is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join its Underground Operations team. You will perform manual and technical tasks related to sanitary and storm sewer systems. The position requires operating specialized equipment, performing pipe laying and pipe fitting work, and overseeing less complex maintenance tasks to ensure safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and maintain sewer mains and services
• Operate flusher and hydro-excavator trucks
• Direct staff on utility maintenance tasks
• Assist with excavation and restoration activities
• Maintain work records and adhere to safety standards
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion with related experience
• EOCP Waste Water Collection Operator certification
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement
• Physical fitness for heavy manual work
• Ability to interpret plans and diagrams
Engage in essential sewer maintenance tasks while supporting public health and safety in Maple Ridge.
