Senior Accountant - Manufacturing experience

Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate is a senior-level accounting professional with strong manufacturing experience, particularly in overhead, inventory reserves, standard costing/cost accounting, and purchase price variance (PPV).
*** 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

• Manage general accounting activities and support accurate financial reporting
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and production variances
• Support inventory accounting, valuation, and physical inventory counts
• Maintain fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Provide financial insight to operations and management
• Identify and implement process and ERP improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory, overhead, standard costing, PPV, and inventory reserves
