Part‑Time Firefighter
Maple Shade Fire Department is seeking a Part‑Time Firefighter to work up to 28 hours per week, compensated at $20.00 per hour. The position is classified with the NJ Civil Service Commission as a provisional firefighter and will remain so for a minimum of 90 days or until permanent appointment is made.
Responsibilities- Perform emergency response, including fire suppression, hazardous materials operations, extrication, basic life support, fire code enforcement inspections, and public education duties.
- Work under the direction of the Fire Chief.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently and with a team.
- Valid CPR Certification (AHA or ARC).
- New Jersey State Firefighter I Certification.
- New Jersey State IMS Level I Certification.
- FEMA National Incident Management System 700 Certification.
- FEMA National Response Framework 800 Certification.
