Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Speech Therapist for Per Diem shifts at The Palace Care Center in Maple Shade, New Jersey.
Position Summary
The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders within a healthcare setting. This role ensures the delivery of evidence‑based, patient‑centered care in compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing function
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs
Provide direct therapy services to patients within long‑term care settings
Document assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care
Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals, strategies, and home programs
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education activities
Maintain compliance with ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and state/federal guidelines
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA preferred
Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
