Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and visionary ADON to oversee and lead the entire nursing department. This pivotal role will involve managing the Director of Nursing (DON) and ensuring the delivery of top-tier care across the facility. The Assitant Director of Nursing will play a key role in strategic planning, compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Director of Nursing and nursing department staff, ensuring high-quality care is delivered consistently.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies, procedures, and standards that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the nursing staff, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional development and excellence.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategic plans and initiatives to enhance resident care and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations related to nursing services.
  • Oversee the recruitment, retention, and training of nursing staff to build a skilled and dedicated team.
  • Analyze data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of nursing practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in NJ
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN);
    Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in a SNF or long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing practices in a SNF.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful nursing strategies and initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
