Customer Service Associate / Cashier (CSA/Cashier)

Responsibilities- Assist all customers shopping at ReStore.
- Operate the cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and provide change for purchases.
- Work with store management to meet daily and weekly sales goals.
- Stock and refill register area inventory, keep the area clean and put items in place.
- Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience, responding promptly to requests.
- Use dollies, forklift (if certified), hand trucks, and pallet jacks to move donated and priced merchandise to the sales floor.
- Merchandise goods on the sales floor, including placing and creating signage.
- Conduct routine inventory counts on all goods on the sales floor.
- Create, print, laminate, and restock tags as necessary.
- Maintain effective relationships with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and customers.
- Complete daily organizational and cleaning tasks: clean donation processing area, merchandise donated goods on the sales floor, maintain a safe working environment on and off the truck.
- Develop planograms, vignettes, and creative merchandising strategies with management.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, handling, reaching, and pushing buttons throughout the shift.
- Execute indoor housekeeping functions, including cleaning, dusting, mopping, and trash removal in all store areas.
- Use personal protective equipment when necessary.
- Follow all safety standards and regulations per the Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to all policies in the Habitat For Humanity of Atlantic County Handbook.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by ReStore Management.
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- 1-3 years of customer service or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of retail sales and/or retail experience.
- Exceptional customer service experience.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to spend the majority of the day standing or moving about ReStore; ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and reach.
- Forklift certification is a plus (not required).
