Position: Installation Mechanic B - Maple Shade, NJ (Holman Upfitting)

Holman’s upfitting division has a great opportunity for an Installation Mechanic-B to join our team in Maple Shade, NJ.

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Pay: $25 per hour
  • Important skills: assembly, electrical wiring, welding, and hydraulics
  • Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license

From custom orders to entire fleets, Holman designs, manufactures, and installs equipment for a wide variety of customers, trades, and industries. We have solutions for service bodies, mechanic bodies, platform bodies, dump bodies, gooseneck bodies, light‑duty trucks, and vans. We install ladder racks, partitions, truck mounted welders and generators, floor liners, shelving, cranes, and other electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic equipment.

What will you do?
  • Install new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles
  • Build vehicles according to work instructions and prints
  • Safely mount and connect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
  • Test installed parts prior to final inspection
  • Verify all line items have been completed on the work order
  • Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process
What are we looking for?
  • 3‑5 years of previous electrical, mechanical, and equipment assembly experience required
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Understanding of 12V circuits
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Previous experience with hydraulics and welding
  • Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools
  • Must be able to work in multiple environments – shop, outside in all types of weather conditions as well as in an office
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Pay

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $22.59 - $29.94 USD per hour.
