The SWD Technology unit believes in and supports training for all employees. Keeping employee skills and knowledge up to date is a priority for us. Major Projects/Tasks:
This position will work with all projects that involve SCADA. The Technology unit works with modern PLCs and automation components. This position will have an opportunity to work with multiple hardware and software automation solutions. The Division has standardized on Allen Bradley / Rockwell hardware and software for automation, although there are Siemens elements as well. This position will also review drawings for accuracy and make recommendations where needed.
What You Will De Doing:
- Review drawings and plans for projects
- Update and maintain PLC code
- Troubleshoot and repair/replace field devices
- Maintain field devices
- Maintain all hardware within PLC cabinets
- Detailed ability to program utilizing Ladder logic programming style
- Skilled in the use of a multi-meter
- Knowledge and skills required to troubleshoot sensors
- Knowledge and skills to maintain field devices
- Knowledge and skills to read cad drawings and field drawings
- Knowledge of Rockwell software
- Ladder logic programming skills
- Field device troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of using a volt meter and troubleshooting 12/48 volt devices
- PLC programming skills
- Low voltage certification
- Rockwell logics
5000 certification
- Communicates effectively
- Skilled in Managing Ambiguous and complex situations
- Skilled in collaboration
- Action-oriented
Work Location: This is a hybrid position, working in the field majority of the time with paperwork and most meetings being performed s position will travel to all the Division's sites except for Skykomish. The position will work extensively at Cedar Hills, and will have an office there.
Work Schedule: This position generally works a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. This full-time career service position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible for overtime.
