Job DescriptionThe following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.
Job Duties- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and other items approximately daily.
Training:
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions and Skills- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outdoor tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36° to 90°+ in some areas. Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces/tools up to 500° or higher, and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing:
Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Standing:
Most tasks from a standing position. Walking on ceramic tile or linoleum. Height of work surfaces between 36” and 48”.
Walking:
Short distances for short durations.
Sitting:
Paperwork at a desk or table.
Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries up to 50 lbs and dimensions up to 3' × 1.5'. Cases lifted from floor to shelves up to 72”.
Carrying:
Large containers, weights up to 30 lbs, trays of pizza dough (~12 lbs) carried over short distances.
Pushing/Pulling:
Trays on dollies require force up to 7.5 lbs.
Climbing:
Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders to change prices, wash walls, perform maintenance.
Bending/stooping:
Forward bending near pizza assembly station, front counter, and stocking ingredients.
Crouching/squatting:
Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching:
Above 72” for oven controls or changing price signs; below 72” for scooping cornmeal, washing dishes, answering phones.
Hand tasks:
Continuous use of hands; forearm and wrist force when shaping dough, using pizza peel, rolling cutter; pinch force required in assembling cardboard pizza boxes.
Machines/tools:
Pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
Deliver product by car to customer door; deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle which may be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain.
Carrying:
Same as above for deliverables.
Driving:
Deliver pizzas within the designated delivery area, possibly several per shift.
Walking:
Travel between store, delivery vehicle, and customer location.
Climbing:
Navigation of five or more flights of stairs during delivery.
Exposure:
Varying and sometimes adverse weather when delivering product.
Sensing:
Far and night vision for driving.
