Job Description

The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some areas.
• Sudden changes in temperature in work area; exposure to cornmeal dust; fumes from food odors.
• Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
• Communication: talking and hearing on telephone. Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Temperaments: ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data; make judgments and decisions.
• Physical Demands: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, hand tasks, and machine/tool usage as described below.

Physical Demands Details:

• STANDING:
  Most tasks from a standing position; walking on ceramic tile and linoleum surfaces.
• HEIGHT OF WORK SURFACES: 36–48 inches.
• WALKING:
  Short distances for short durations.
• SITTING:
  Paperwork performed at a desk or table.
• LIFTING/CARRYING:
  Deliveries may require lifting up to 50 pounds; cases moved using hand trucks; some weights up to 30 pounds for sauces; pizza dough etc.
• PUSHING/CLIMBING/STOOPING:
  Pushing crates; occasional climbing of stairs or ladders; front counter tasks require bending.
• REACHING:
  Reaching above 72 inches; handling toppings, equipment, and cleaning tasks.
• HAND TASKS:
  Frequent use of hands for dough shaping, pizza peel handling, opening boxes, and other manual tasks.

Job Duties (delivery focus in driver/store management positions):
Deliver product by car and to customer doors; deliver flyers and door hangers.

• Requires a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.

• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing.
• Vision requirements for driving (far and night vision).
