Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges between $63,040 and $86,680, with eligibility for an incentive target of 5% contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is an estimate and may change over time;
Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or discontinue its compensation and benefits programs at any time, in accordance with applicable law.

Position Summary

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst is part of a global human resources team and provides day-to-day support for the Company’s compensation and benefits programs. Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity in Success Factors, managing data feeds, handling vendor fees and billing, validating systems, and producing data analysis and reports. The analyst will keep databases up-to-date, including Market Pay for compensation surveys and JDX for job descriptions.

The analyst will partner with the benefits administrator in their absence, focus on process improvements, and update documentation as needed.

Job Responsibilities (You Will)
  • Assist in conducting market research and analysis to benchmark compensation practices and support evaluation of job descriptions and salary structures.
  • Assist in compensation survey submission and maintain survey data in Market Pay.
  • Provide day-to-day support in maintaining data integrity in Success Factors and other required systems.
  • Assist in updating and publishing plan documents in Service Now.
  • Process invoices related to compensation and benefits programs, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
  • Assist in the implementation of new benefits programs and related administrative processes.
  • Provide support for other compensation and benefits related projects as needed to support the Total Rewards function and business objectives.
  • Partner with and provide backup to others on the Total Rewards team as required.
Education/Experience (You Have)
  • University degree with major in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Three years of combined experience in compensation, pension, disability, or benefit administration.
  • Working toward a compensation or benefits designation or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, balancing activities of different priorities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior working experience with Success Factors.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including intermediate Excel, Word and basic PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines.
