Special Education Teacher, Secondary

Discovery Ranch for Boys is a relationship-based residential treatment center for teenage boys who struggle with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse disorders. We use evidence-based practices and emphasize experiential therapy.

As our Special Education Teacher, you will provide traditional classroom instruction in a unique setting to this diverse student body. Mornings are devoted to therapy work while school is held in the afternoon, the ideal time for academic engagement in adolescents.

This position is part-time with potential to grow to full‑time:
Monday–Thursday 4:00 – 8:30 pm, $24–26 per hour (DOE).

• Current Utah Educator License
• Utah Special Education Secondary Teaching Certificate with Mild‑Moderate and/or Severe Endorsements
• Proficient in IEP and 504 paperwork
• Able to pass criminal investigation background checks
• Able to pass motor vehicle record check
• Current Utah driver's license within 30 days of employment
• First Aid & CPR certified (may be provided)
• ICC certified (may be provided)

• 12+ months professional experience in residential treatment
• 12+ months experience working with at‑risk youth
