Overview
Discovery Ranch is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach instruments and music theory while coordinating the efforts of other musicians. You will work in a therapeutic setting focused on holistic development within a relationship-based residential treatment center.
We are looking for an engaged and creative individual who can help students discover their musical talents and foster a love for music. In addition to teaching, you will coordinate your team and collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive educational experience. This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule and compensation in the $18–$19/hour range, with some hour flexibility and potential administrative responsibilities.
Some events may be scheduled on weekends.
Help young men in a therapeutic setting as they progress on their healing journey.
Responsibilities- Teach and/or coordinate instruction in one or more musical instruments and music theory.
- Coordinate the efforts of other musicians involved in the program.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide a comprehensive educational experience for students.
- Support students in a therapeutic setting and assist in their healing journey.
- Capable guitar player and teacher
- Music teaching experience
- Able to play and teach one or more musical instruments from beginner to early advanced skill
- 19+ years of age
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Able to pass a motor vehicle record check
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- 3–5 years of music experience
- Working on a bachelor's degree in music or music technology/engineering
- 2+ years of music teaching experience
- Experience with Logic Pro or Pro Tools, or music studio recording/engineering
- Basic knowledge of a variety of musical instruments
- Team coordination experience
- Full time classification and benefits (32 hours/week)
